Dr Yahya Al Naggar, PHD of Egypt University, invested 7 years behind the simple question of whether a queen cell has any impact on the queen bee's development?!

Turns out, more than we ever thought...

5 teams around the world collaborated from Egypt, Canada, Germany, US and China across multidisciplinary fields of biology, biochemistry and entomology.

I have the pleasure of interviewing Dr Yahya about his findings and the discovery is phenomenal.

We all know that there are differences in queen cell cups - from the size to the placement. What we did not know is the make up of the beeswax itself is different. And so is what is found inside.
