The Devil possesses the greatest name recognition in the world, perhaps only second to god. He personifies evil from the perspective of The Tribe. Thus, he became The Most Hated One—he personifies what it means
to be hated, not what it means
to hate. So he acts arrogantly and shrewdly and never apologizes, because the hatred strengthens him!
He acts the heel. He agitates the haters. What does not kill him only makes him stronger! So he aspires to be hated more, beacuse everybody already does anyway!
Do you finally see?
He lives in the heart of humanity as the Greatest Antihero of All Time.
