Within days I was offered a job that would change my life… as a house painter. I hadn’t filled out any applications or sent in a resume, and I didn’t know anything about house painting. Nevertheless, I asked Paimon to provide, and it was clear that this was the opportunity he had made available.

I found the work to be enjoyable, and the money was better than most production facilities were paying, so I didn’t even notice years passing as I learned the trade of custom painting, eventually becoming the company’s foreman, managing paint crews in multiple homes at a time.

My house painting career brought me to meet and to work with a Master Faux Painter. After helping him with a few side jobs, I was offered a full time position as an Apprentice Faux Painter. I quit my job as a custom house painter and spent the next few years learning the world’s most complex and beautiful decorative finishes.

I later took these skills into woodworking and cabinetry, building my career as a paint and stain color stylist and decorative finisher while also building my career in the occult through books, lectures, and personal mentoring.

There came a point when I needed to choose between the two, and I chose to pursue magick as my full time occupation.

But the skills that I developed in my career as a decorative finisher have never left me, and I am still well served by them.

I just moved into my new home a little over a month ago, and I’ve claimed the area that would normally be used as a garage as my Magickal Temple.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to paint or decorate my new Temple until one night when I was meditating by candlelight looking at the bare walls, and a vision flashed before me. The wall turned green, dripping with filth and oozing evil from its pores, and as I looked closer I could see serpent scales pressing out of the walls, reptilian entities living inside of the wall.

The next morning I unpacked all of my old faux finishing tools, I purchased the plasters, paints, and glazes that I’d need, and I spent the next week bringing it to life.

I just finished this first permanent Temple wall, and it was exhausting… but the end result is an exact match to the vision that I was shown, serpent scales emerging from the paint, stretched across the entire wall.

As I face this wall I am reminded of the Great Old Serpent and the Reptilian Gods that were worshipped and invoked long before the god of Abraham was ever invented. This wall now connects me to the Others, those who are not of our species, but who have sworn a covenant to come to our call and to assist us in our evolution.
