right here »I’ve also found that, even though I might be sleeping like a log, I’ll often awaken at 3 a.m. for no apparent reason, and I’ll often find myself drawn towards a specific area of study, or a specific meditation, or I’ll find that there are spirits waiting for me to speak with them at that time.
This is what actually cued me into the fact that something important was going on at this time.
One of the theories that has been put out about why 3 a.m. is “The Witching Hour” is because Jesus died at 3 p.m., and so a complete reversal of that time would be 3 a.m., and so this is why Sorcerers and Witches will perform their rituals at this time, as a mockery of the crucifixion.
Most people who practice magick don’t give any real literal credence to the scriptures. The credit that we often do give to religious text is in their symbolic teachings.
In other words, I don’t really think Jesus died at 3 in the afternoon. In fact, I question whether he even existed as a historical character at all.

But the genius mystics who actually wrote the Bible embedded that figure into it for a reason, because at 3 p.m. there is also a conjunction of the worlds that allows us to more easily attune to solar forces.
By 3:00 in the afternoon, your local area will have been saturated with solar light, and so you can draw from that for solar works, whereas at 3 a.m. you have the exact opposite, that your local area of the earth has been deprived of sunlight and therefore is in a much calmer state, because sunlight does create an activating and energizing force.

What We Call “The Witching Hour” Is Also Known As The Ambrosial Time & Brahmamuhurtha Time |

3:00 in the morning being an especially magickal time is not isolated to the occult.
For instance, what we are calling The Witching Hour is also called The Ambrosial Time, from 3 a.m. until 6 p.m.
This is also called “Brahmamuhurtha Time” in Vedic, Yogic, and Tantric disciplines, and is known to be the best time for meditation, yoga, puja, and nearly every other spiritual practice.
At this early hour of the morning - or late hour of the night - most people and even most animals are asleep and have been for several hours.
Not only does the fact that nearly everyone in your area is asleep allow you to place spells on them more easily, but the psychic field in your area has become cleared without the intrusive thoughts, emotions, worries, and general activities that are brought by masses of people who are awake. Again, this contributes to a much more psychically calm and passive environment, which is great for the magickal operations that you might want to perform!
So, if you find yourself awake at 3:00 in the morning, take advantage of it!
Like so many other occult mysteries, it doesn’t really matter why it works… the reality is that it does work!
