I have been studying the occult for close to 20 years now, but my diving into complete darkness occurred after my ordination as a High Priest of the Coven of the Primal Dawn. I had learned a lot about the application of magick through my coven experiences but at the end of it all I seemed to hit a wall of stasis. I hungered for much more and I intuitively knew much more could be found beyond candle and gemstone correspondences, Sabbat’s, and Essbat’s. That was the beginning of my journey into the darkest of the Black Art’s.
I began to delve into the art and science of evocation and I thrust myself into the experience without studying the subtle nuances or the do’s and don’ts. As I studied the Goetia the sigil of Belial seemed to magnetically pull at me for some reason and so all of my evocative efforts where geared toward conjuring this demonic King. I spent month after month attempting to behold his power— nine months to be exact.
Throughout all of my efforts I beheld no vision. I heard no voice, and so I would simply walk out of the circle in frustration even though it was warned against. I felt that those warnings would only apply if the spirit did indeed materialize. With no manifestation what would be the use of banishing rites? I already ditched the sigil torturing methods of conjuration as that was not in alignment with my personality anyway. Why would I adhere to medieval warnings of not crossing the circle? Why would I banish an entity that was not there to banish? Besides, I never had intentions of banishing Belial. Something within me was obsessed with him. I hungered for him like a child starving for the love of a parent and after close to a year of obsession and failure I succeeded in one climactic moment of despair.

Belial did manifest within the triangle. With my physical eyes he appeared as what seemed to be transparent energy that resembled heat rising off of blacktop in the middle of summer. This energy was seemingly translated through my inner vision and as it was translated I could both see and hear him with undeniable clarity. These were his words:

You feel as if you now see me and hear me for the first time. That assumption is the wrong one black magickian. Do you think my power is limited to your pathetic orations and petty attempts at conjuration? Look upon my face now and reflect upon it. Know that my face is a reflection of your life experience from long before the time I called out to you through my signature. Know now that these things are and will be from this point on one and the same.
I am beyond time and space.
I have been with you long before you attempted to make contact with me. I have been turning you and your life inside out and upside down for some time now. Yet until this moment you have been oblivious to my power. You have continued to call upon me over and over and I have indeed come and answered each and every time. Most of the time you did not even compel me. Your lack of faith in my power caused you to abandon the very objectives you sought to fulfill. I remained as you became frustrated. As you stepped beyond the boundaries of the circle I stepped directly into your life. I created the circumstances which were most needed for your growth. These kinds of circumstances are never easy to endure.
You are one of two things. You are either extremely stupid or extremely brave for the initiations you have endured would break the will of most. Either way your negligence in regard to compelling me and banishing me correctly has essentially caused us to unite by vibrational contagion and so I will make use of you.
