Please allow me to introduce myself, my vampiric name is N.D. Blackwood. I am the modern pioneer of a violently-guarded, medieval, occult tradition of Black Magick known as Vampirism. In the Middle Ages, a werewolf was what people called the astral body of a black magician having adopted a bestial form. This frightening form is given to his etheric body which he has partially filled with a dense energetic current in order to do harm to those he wanted to reach. In the old legends, we remember that it was useless to hit werewolves, but if we managed to pierce them with a knife or some other sharp instrument, they began to bleed the blood of their victims and fled quickly to their home, screaming. There, one could find the magician who had taken the form of a werewolf suffering from an injury at the very place where the animal had been struck.

Today, it is difficult to verify the veracity of the legends concerning this phenomenon and the reciprocity of injuries between the physical body and the astral body, since most of the werewolf attacks take place while the victim is asleep. The phenomenon of lycanthropy could be defined as a particularly powerful form of shapeshifting. The magician adopts a particularly frightening form during his out of body experience. This may be that of his Fylgia an "animal spirit" in Norse beliefs, but it can also be specific to the initiatory bloodline to which they belong. I have known a vampiric order in which most of the members adopted the form of a bat-man with the head of a wolf bat when they astral traveled, but it can also be a personal form to which the magician is attached for symbolic or emotional reasons. The sorcerer seeks here to align their own instincts with those of the inner beast, the famous and peculiar shadow, written about by Carl Jung. This causes anger and savagery buried deep within them, thus allowing the densification of their astral body. Once this state is reached, they will hunt on the astral plane and will drain the vital essence of their prey in particularly violent circumstances, causing nightmares, night terrors, and even physical injuries in their path.
