Hey Friend,

I always have a lot of people ask me about curses. Specifically, I get questions about why curses can be so difficult to make work, and what they can do to increase the power of a curse.

The key components of any effective ritual are:

1. Desire

2. Will

Often, desire and willpower run away from each other, rather than working together. Let me explain why that is.

Desire is the main battery or charge that a ritual needs. If you don’t have desire to create the thing that you desire, you’re simply not going to be able to create it!

For instance, when I first started experimenting with magick, I would pick and choose different random goals that I would use rituals to achieve. Most of the time, I didn’t really have a massive desire for these things, but I just wanted to see if I could use magick to get them.

This is fine for magickal target-practice, but it’s not going to get you the kind of results that you’ll get when you not only want something to happen, but when you need it to happen.

The Emotion That Is Needed to End Another Person’s Life Is Pure, Unfiltered Hatred

The first thing that you need to do when planning any ritual is to evaluate your underlying desire for the end result.

So, if you’re performing a curse intended on destroying another person, you have to ask yourself: “Do I really want this person to die?”

If the answer is “yes,” then ask yourself: “Why do I want this person to die?”

If your target has become an obstacle in your life, then your real desire isn’t necessarily to kill the person, but is instead to remove the obstacle from your life. This can happen in a variety of ways, which may or may not result in the demise of the target.

If the person you are trying to curse has done something offensive to you and you want to curse them in order to “teach them a lesson” or “get back at them,” the real underlying desire is for them to respect you, or fear you… which they can’t do if they are dead. So, your curse might not provoke their actual demise.

When we really break it down, the emotion that is needed to end another person’s life with magick is pure, unfiltered hatred.

If you are two steps away from beating your enemy to death with a baseball bat - if that is the kind of hatred that you have - then you can probably throw a pretty effective curse!

Your Desire Is Literally The Force Behind
The Power Of The Ritual!

Here’s the other side of this, the willpower side.

If you are two steps away from beating your enemy to death with a baseball bat - if that is the kind of hatred that you have - then you can probably throw a pretty effective curse!

When you have an intense desire, the object of the ritual is to rid yourself of that desire through the ritual itself, to use every last bit of desire, emotion, and thought in the performance of the ritual. In this way, your desire literally is the force behind the power of the ritual!

In the moment that the last drop of desire has left you, you can actually feel something change inside of yourself, almost like something snaps inside of you, and a shockwave releases from your being into this world.

Now, if you don’t give vent to your desire, it actually does the opposite of “will.”

When you will something, you are certain of the end result. You are pushing all of your power, all of your desire, your thoughts, and your efforts towards the result that you are manifesting, without considering whether it will work or not, without fearing that you might fail.

And it is flawless. True power is effortless.

But when you don’t exhaust all of your desire, then what you are doing is you’re pacing around waiting, watching your victim and wondering when the curse is going to take effect. You’re watching and waiting, tapping your feet, wondering why it isn’t working yet.

That is the opposite of Will. That is the opposite of certainty.

You do need to become completely certain of the end result, and you can’t do this while you’re being eaten up by desire.

Desire is what you bring into the ritual. Certainty is what you leave the ritual with.

From my experience, I know that my ritual is complete when I am lying on the ground with not a bit of energy or desire left to give. I give my pronouncement of the success of the ritual, commanding reality to realign with my new perceptions, and I do this with a fullness of will, not hoping that it will happen, but knowing that it will happen.

And when I say the final four words that I end all rituals with, “So it is done,” I truly know that it is done!
