Subject: FIREFIGHTING: A Case Study of Lagos State Multi Agency Complex

LAGOS STATE MULTI AGENCY COMPLEX

Solely depending on firefighting companies to handle your unprecedented fire events can be disappointing and lead to several damages, loss of properties and even lives. As we all know time is essential in beating fire and for a busy place like Lagos state where it is almost impossible to beat the traffic, totally depending on human assistance from a different location for any fire situation would definitely be unadvised.

Putting this and more into consideration Basscomm Nigeria ltd was called to provide firefighting systems such as (Fire hose reel, pipes, Fire extinguishers and fire hydrant system and automatic sprinkler system) in the ongoing project “The Lagos State Multi Agency Complex” to help protect properties, assets and human lives at large.

Basscomm Nigeria Ltd has currently installed all firefighting systems needed to curb any kind of fire, if the need arises. Fire extinguishers are provided for a 'first attack' firefighting measure, generally undertaken by the occupants of the building before the fire service arrives. Fire hose reels are provided for use by occupants as a 'first attack' firefighting measure but may, in some instances, also be used by firefighters. Fire hydrant systems are installed in buildings to help firefighters quickly attack the fire. Essentially, a hydrant system is a water reticulation system used to transport water in order to limit the amount of hose that firefighters have to lay, thus speeding up the firefighting process. Time is essential in the control of fire. Automatic sprinkler systems are one of the most reliable methods available for controlling fires. Today's automatic fire sprinkler systems offer state of the art protection of life and property from the effects of fire.
