How does Exclusivity work in

Barter West?

 

Many networking groups utilize an exclusivity standard. Barter West's member exclusivity works a little differently. Here's a little break down of how it works. If you have questions, feel free to respond to this email!

  1. For now, as we are growing, there will be ONE member per industry.

    1. Exception: If ONE transaction with your business exceeds $2000. This is why we have two realtors in Barter West.

  2. You MAY still offer products and services within other categories, but you will choose ONE category to be the exclusive member for.

  3. If another member holds the Exclusivity spot in a category that you also do, you may not actively market that product or service to our membership. Marketplace listings are not allowed without consent of exclusive member. Membership Directory category listing is fine.

    1. However, if you're working with a client, and they ASK you "do you do this too?" You may take care of the customer. Ultimately, it's the customer's choice who they choose to do business with.

    2. Stay in integrity, so we are ensuring everyone's success. This is the purpose of Barter West. To GIVE business, and help each other thrive.

  4. If you are the exclusive member, and you feel that there is more demand for your offerings than you're able to take care of, this is when YOU decide whether we bring on an additional member. Our goal is to bring you barter business, but not so much that you're not able to take care of your cash customers. When you need "help" to take care of our members, say the word. We will find another member .

CAUTION! Do not use this app to enroll in Barter West as a new member.

Use your Barter West login and password, click Post Sale. As the Seller, you select the Buyer from our membership. Put a description so you have more information, then enter the amount. Click Process Sale.

  • A credit card is required on every member's account to enable trading.

  • A $300 credit line is extended to all members, but if a member has spent beyond the credit line, the trade will be declined.
