| | | BANILLA GAMES SUES OVER PIRATED SOFTWARE |
| | Banilla Games is taking decisive action to curb the proliferation of pirated FUSION 4 games throughout the industry. Banilla is serious about protecting its intellectual property and has filed 17 lawsuits in Federal courts across the country. The defendants in these lawsuits include locations, operators, distributors, and importers of pirated FUSION 4 games.
These pirated games violate Federal copyright law and subject the wrongdoer to both civil and criminal penalties.
"We are fully committed to prosecuting not only the locations, but also those operators who placed these counterfeits in these stores," said Brooks Lee, Chief Sales Officer for Banilla Games. "We’re not going to stand for it. Pirated games harm the industry as a whole and it will take a joint effort to eradicate these illegal games from the market.”
The claims in these lawsuits include, but are not limited to, copyright infringement, unfair competition, and trade secret misappropriation.
