About the exhibition

Heads & Tales brings together both existing and newly created works that explore themes of courage, resilience, and determination. 

The individuals represented in this exhibition have each followed their own path, often through difficult, uncertain, or dangerous circumstances, remaining true to their convictions regardless of the obstacles they faced.

What unites these subjects is not only their strength of character, but the impact they have had on the lives of others. In their own ways, they have challenged divisions and rejected the notion of “them and us,” choosing instead connection, empathy, and humanity.

Some of the stories behind these works are marked by extraordinary acts of bravery; others reveal quieter forms of courage expressed through compassion, kindness, and perseverance. 

During the development of this exhibition, I encountered many more remarkable stories than I could represent visually. Yet each one reinforced a belief that, when circumstances demand it, most people will quietly choose to do the right thing.

This exhibition is a celebration of those individuals and a reflection on the enduring capacity for courage, integrity, and hope.
