This Week's Call:
Drafting Your Book Description
#1 June 2021
 ☕️💗
Hi Friend,

We look forward to reconnecting with you this week for Call #1, the first group call of the month.

Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 5:30pm PT / 8:30pm ET

Calls last up to 90 minutes.

Please RSVP. Thanks!

** Send your 100-word book description by Thursday 12pm PT/3pm ET. Or send the answers to the questions below.

Our Focus:
Drafting Your Book Description

The reader is pulled in by your book description. It tells them all the essential elements of your story, so they can decide to buy the book or not.

We'll teach you how to draft this compelling piece of your book marketing.

Prepare for this call by reviewing Module 3 in the Self-Publishing class:

Want feedback on your book description?

Then wither send in your book description, or send in the essential elements, by Thursday, 12noon pm PT/3pm ET, and we'll go over them together.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
Elevator Pitch Formula

1. Situation: (Also called the Initial Action or Premise, this is the beginning of the plot.)

2. Main Character(s): (Self-explanatory)

3. Primary Objective: (At first, what does your main character want?)

4. Antagonist Or Opponent: (or Central Conflict. Who or what is keeping your main characters from getting what they want?)

5. Disaster That Could Happen: (What’s the worst that could happen, and/or what does your character want next? Often phrased as a question.)

And we'll also:

-- do our Metaphor Check-ins & Good News

-- share next steps and announcements

Bring your questions to the call.

We'll also have a good time connecting!

Thanks!
