This Week!
Sticky Grammar Cont'd
[Group Call #2] 🎉

 ☕️💗
Hi Friend,

Happy February!

We look forward to reconnecting with you this week for Call #2, the second group call of the month.

Thursday, February 17, 2021 at 5:30pm PT / 6:30pm MT / 7:30pm CT / 8:30pm ET

Calls last up to 90 minutes.

Please RSVP. Thanks!

** This week: If you want feedback, especially on on some sticky grammar --or anything else -- described below, send your 100 to 200-words by Thursday 12pm PT/ 1pm MT / 3pm CT / 3pm ET.

Our Focus:
Sticky Grammar Cont'd

In this call, we'll discuss some sticky grammar points, specifically:
  • using an -ing word as the first word of a sentence or as the object of the sentence: when to use it and when it's incorrect.
Example: Moving across the country, she found the perfect house.

While not incorrect, this construction can obscure the doer -- the one doing the action.

If focusing on grammar gives you the heebie-jeebies right now, then keep your focus on what's priority for you.

Instead, you may need to be focused on:
  • your story plan
  • your characters and their motivations
  • your setting
  • the sensory details
  • cultivating your writing process
  • doing the next thing to support your writer's life, like rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation
  • editing for clarity, emotion, or something else...

REMINDER
If you want feedback, especially on how-to on some sticky grammar -- described above -- or anything else, send your 100 to 200-words by Thursday 12pm PT/ 1pm MT / 3pm CT / 3pm ET.
