Subject: ⭐️Coin Collecting Update - New Coins Alert (Comm Games) Plus Tips & Tricks...

Hey Friend
As you probably know, there's a new set of Commonwealth Games coins being released tomorrow through Woolworths.
The Coins:
There are three $2 coins in total, and all three are going into circulation through the Woolworths cash registers. This is what the coins will look like (image courtesy of RAM):

Here are the key details of the coins:
- Heads/Obverse side: Dan Thorne effigy with the Denomination ("Two Dollars")
- Mintage: UNKNOWN at this stage.
- Release schedule: One new coin per week, starting Wednesday July 15.
The Bad News: Unfortunately, there are some Woolworths stores that won't have the coins in their tills (mostly in WA).
The Good News: Thankfully there is a pack that we can buy with all three coins. This is the easiest way to get all three coins. The packs are available from authorised RAM dealers, so be sure to contact your favourite dealer (image courtesy of RAM):

My tips for getting the coins...
1. Wait a few days (or weeks) for the hype to slow down.
As the promotion ends, it gets easier to get more coins. Some stores take a few days before they get the coins, but they are often available well after the promotion is meant to end.
2. Check with family & friends
If your local store is one of the stores that is not getting the coins (or if your local makes it difficult), reach out to other people around the country.
Every store has different rules, so ask any family or friends around the country if they can get them for you. And obviously, ask any Woolworths staff you know personally if they can help you out (but don't get them in trouble. 😉)
3. Self serve machines.
If the staff don't have the coins in their cash registers, I found that they sometimes put the special $2 coins into self-service checkouts for previous Woolworths promotions. If you pay for one item at a time, and ask for $4 in "cash out", you may get lucky. (No guarantee, but this may work at some stores).
Just don't do this too often, as my bank got suspicious when I did this more than about 5 times in one hour. 😮
4. Finally, make sure to check your coins for errors! 🍀
Good hunting - If you find any interesting errors on these coins, or need any more info about this promotion, please let me know.
Cheers
Damian
