URGENT - product recall for Tooth Fairy Kit
There was a product recall issued yesterday for the 2026 Tooth Fairy Kit. I wasn't sure if it was legit initially, but the Royal Australian Mint (RAM) have posted it on their Facebook page as well, so it's real. Here is a link to the Australian Government site about the recall:

The key details:
- It only affects 2026 tooth fairy kits.
- The kits that have been issued are emitting a chemical that may be dangerous (especially for something kids put in their mouth!)

Many people who ordered the kits still haven't received them, but if you have received them (or know someone who has) make sure to return them for a refund.

This weekend: Brisbane ANDA Coin & Banknote show (and the related products)
On a happier note, I'm getting excited about the ANDA Coin & Banknote show happening in Brisbane this weekend.

I'll be presenting both days at 10:45am about coin collecting tips and tricks. We also have a table at the show, so please drop in and say hi.

No bookings necessary, just turn up on the day at the show.

Next Week: Commonwealth Games Coins
By now, you may have heard that there will be a new set of Commonwealth Games coins released through Woolworths next week.

Here is an image of what the 3 coins look like (courtesy of the RAM):


The key points for this release are:
- There will be 3 coins available over 3 weeks, starting with the Gymnast coin next Wednesday (July 15).
- You can buy all 3 coins in a set for $20 from RAM dealers. Apparently, the sets won't be available to buy at Woolworths.

I always find that it's easier to get the coins a few days after the promotion starts (once the hype slows down a bit), but I'll send another email closer to the release with my best tips and tricks for getting the coins easily.
