The Planetary Set.

The first Bluey 3-coin set.

I had the chance to buy both of these coin sets, but I turned them down...

and I'm genuinely happy I did.

As you probably know, both became highly sought after and went up significantly in value.

So why on Earth would I be happy about passing on them?

Because after spending a lot of money on coin collecting, I learned something that changed the way I collect:

Just because a coin is new, popular, difficult to get or even likely to go up in value...

doesn't mean you actually WANT it in your collection.

And that sounds obvious.

But when a new release is hyped, selling out, and everyone seems desperate to get one, it's surprisingly easy to stop asking “Do I want this?” and start thinking “How do I make sure I don't miss out?”

I've made that mistake before.

I don't make it nearly as often now.

In this short video, I explain what I learned — and how I've applied it to my own collecting.

Those two sets were just two of the many I've turned down.

And after watching the video, you'll understand why.
