Subject: The Power of Scorpio Season✨Venus Turning Points✨Mercury Goes Retrograde

Dear Stargazers,

Welcome to Scorpio season.

On October 23, the Sun enters Scorpio, and as it embarks upon its 30-day journey through the sign of birth, death and regeneration, it reminds us that sometimes we need to let go of something before we can make room for something better.

As the ruler of the 8th house, Scorpio is the master of the purge, but it's a purge with purpose. And with Venus retrograde in Scorpio, we're being encouraged to reconsider our priorities and decide what still deserves our time, attention and energy.

And that brings me to a decision I've made about the future of the newsletter.

Going forward, it will no longer include a detailed day-by-day forecast for the coming week.

This wasn't a decision I made lightly. I've been writing detailed weekly forecasts and sharing astrological insights for many years. Preparing these forecasts takes a considerable amount of my time, and as I'm expanding my work to include more podcasts, videos, and courses, I need to devote more of my time to these projects.

I will still be sharing my insights into significant planetary activity and other timely topics, but rather than following a fixed Sunday schedule, I'll be sending newsletters closer to when these events take place.

I appreciate all of you who have been reading these forecasts over the years, and I look forward to sharing more astrological guidance and resources with you.

My Interview on Soul Sync:
Astrology: A Shortcut to the Soul

On September 7, I had the pleasure of joining spiritual psychic-medium Jason Paul on his Soul Sync podcast for a wide-ranging conversation about astrology. Among other things, we discussed what the birth chart can tell us about ourselves, the relationship between astrology and spiritual gifts, and how planetary cycles can help us understand and prepare for major life changes.

The podcast was just released on October 12, and Jason wrote an extensive article inspired by our conversation and an impromptu reading I gave him after we finished recording. In it, he explains how to begin reading your own birth chart, explores the connections between astrology, spiritual gifts and major life changes, and shares what he learned about himself through his own horoscope.

ASTROLOGICAL FORECAST
October 19-25 (EDT)

Void of Course Moon

These periods are not the best times to start something new or engage in activities that need a definite result.

October 21: 04:44 AM — 08:36 AM

October 22: 11:32 PM — 11:59 PM

October 23: 12:00 AM — 03:55 PM

October 25: 07:00 PM — 07:36 PM

Monday, October 19

With the Moon in Aquarius supporting teamwork, group endeavors are likely to yield positive results, making this a good day to work with others or seek help for a project of your own.

Although you're likely to have a productive day, the early evening could find you feeling impatient or on edge, especially if others aren't able or willing to be as cooperative as you'd like.

Tuesday, October 20 • Venus Rx in Scorpio Square Pluto in Aquarius

Today marks the second of three squares that are taking place between Venus and Pluto before the end of the year. During their first square, Venus was direct while Pluto was moving retrograde, but this time around it's Venus that is moving retrograde while Pluto moves forward.

This means that unresolved issues involving relationships, money or shared resources may resurface, particularly those that first came to light during their first encounter on September 15.

Although revisiting these issues may not be pleasant, it offers an opportunity to take another look at what's been going on, especially if issues of power and control have been part of the problem.

Wednesday, October 21

At 8:36 AM, the Moon enters Pisces. Around lunchtime, its favorable connection to Venus can make it easier to smooth over differences or reach an understanding with someone.

Around 6 PM, the Moon squares Uranus, which could bring an unexpected change to your evening plans. A dinner date could be canceled or rescheduled, or you might receive a last-minute invitation to go out for drinks.

Thursday, October 22

With the Moon in Pisces all day, you may find yourself more inclined to trust your instincts than rely on logic. This can be helpful when dealing with situations that aren't entirely clear, but be careful about making assumptions or taking things at face value. A little extra attention to the facts can help you avoid misunderstandings.

Friday, October 23 • Sun-Venus Cazimi

The Moon enters Aries at 3:55 PM.

Although Venus Retrograde and the Sun remain close throughout the day, later tonight (11:44 PM) they merge in a powerful aspect known as a cazimi.

A cazimi involves a conjunction, but what sets it apart is that the planet is so close it's considered to be in the heart of the Sun, so rather than being burned up by its rays, it's actually protected by them and gains greater power and awareness.

With Venus retrograde in Scorpio, the cazimi could bring greater clarity to relationships, money and shared resources, especially when it comes to understanding someone's true feelings or intentions.

Since Venus just squared Pluto on Tuesday, it's possible that something that occurred that day will make a lot more sense now, or you could discover there was more to the story than you first thought.

If so, that's not to say that things will be resolved, but knowing what you're dealing with can make a big difference when it comes to deciding your next step.

Saturday, October 24 • Mercury Stations Retrograde

At 3:13 AM, Mercury stations retrograde at 20°59' Scorpio, where it will continue moving backward until it stations direct on November 13.

Although the Aries Moon may be urging you to go, go, go and do, do, do, with Mercury retrograde, it's best to slow down, especially when it comes to travel, decision-making, negotiations, and important communications.

In Scorpio, Mercury retrograde invites us to dig a little deeper and explore what lies beneath the surface. For more insights into this cycle, read my article, Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio.

And to learn more about Mercury retrograde in general, including why the days surrounding its stations can be especially troublesome, as well as what it means if it occurs during your Solar Return, read my recently updated article, Mercury Retrograde: Dates, Meanings & What to Expect.

Sunday, October 25

At 5:10 AM, Venus retrogrades back into Libra, where it will remain until it stations direct on November 13.

To learn more about what Venus Rx in Libra means, listen to this brief segment of the Venus Retrograde episode of Astrology Unpacked.

Later on at 7:36 PM, the Moon enters Taurus, and with the Full Moon taking place just after midnight on Monday, you may already be feeling its effects.

Until next time,

Debra
