Dear Stargazers,

If you're still waiting for your Solar Story, be assured you'll have it by the weekend. I've had a bit of a delay in getting them all done because my dog was ill and required a few visits to the vet. Fortunately, he's better now, so I'll be able to get back to my regular routine.

Thank you for your patience, and I appreciate your understanding.
PODCAST UPDATE

If you haven't listened to my podcast about Venus retrograde yet, click here to learn how this cycle might just influence your heart, your wallet, your appearance and your self-esteem. You'll get tips and insights for making the most of this influence, and I give a Venus retrograde forecast for every sun sign/rising sign.
The October 11 episode features an interview with one of New York's premiere psychic readers, Dante Sabatino. I met Dante several years ago, and we hit it off immediately because like me, his readings are in-depth, spot-on and offer newfound awareness and practical guidance.

Besides his expertise in tarot, Dante is very well versed in astrology, numerology and parapsychology, and we address his use of astrology in his readings and also talk a bit about his own intuitive chart. To learn more about Dante and his services, visit www.tarotbydante.com

BEST DAYS

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

BEST AVOIDED

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

NEW MOON at 15°48' LIBRA
October 8, 2018 | 11:47 PM
Washington, DC

In astrology, Libra rules all one-to-one relationships, including spouses, business partners and close friends. It also includes adversaries and those who compete with you on a personal level. In reality, our relationships with parents and siblings often qualify as one-to-one relationships and in some case, adversarial ones.

Since new moons are about initiation, a Libra new moon always favors a new start in connection with relationships. However, in this chart there's a spotlight on family ties because the new moon is tightly conjunct the asteroid Ceres, which represents maternal/nurturing relationships with adult children.

As it happens, the new moon/Ceres conjunction squares the ascendant and descendant of the chart. A square is a provocative aspect that indicates some action will be taken, but it can also represents challenges and in extreme cases separations.  Consequently, a new start in a familial relationship can take many forms. For some, it may be dealing with an empty nest while for others, there may be some initiative to encourage adult children to actually leave the next.

But what if neither scenario is applicable to your life?

Then it will likely play out in another type of relationship. Given that Libra is about balance, it's possible that the root of the problem is simply a boundary issue. However, whether you're the one taking a stand or someone else is setting new boundaries with you depends on the rest of your chart, as well as your current circumstances.

It's important to note that since the New Moon/Ceres conjunction squares Pluto and quincunxes Neptune, one or both parties could try to use guilt to manipulate the other. Since Venus is retrograde in Scorpio, there's a possibility that deep-seated resentments may emerge as well.

Still, this new moon offers the opportunity to set the groundwork for healthier boundaries through a new beginning that would involve a major change on some level.  Since Venus rules this Libra new moon, and it's currently in its detriment in Scorpio, its retrograde cycle suggests that relationship decisions or actions taken now will need to be revisited after it goes direct.

Although it may continue to be a work in progress, if you embrace the introspective energy, you'll be able to gain profound insights that will help you achieve the right balance in your unions once Venus goes direct in Libra.
