This month's Gemini new moon is in good company. Not only is it conjunct Venus, but Mercury and Jupiter are also in Gemini, which brings the total number of planets in the sign of the Twins to five.
In astrology, this is called a stellium, and since all five planets are contained within a 14° degree span, it means that for some of you (but not all), they will occupy a single house in your horoscope.
If that's the case, with so many planets in one place means you can expect an emphasis on the life matters that are ruled by that house, but in a lively Gemini sort of way.
For example, if this transiting stellium falls in your 5th house, you could be receiving (or extending) a number of social invitations. Romantically speaking, you may prefer to play the field. If it falls in the 6th house, you could be busy with medical appointments or trying out different exercise programs in search of one that's quick, easy and doesn't bore you to tears.
When you read your rising and/or sun sign below for the new moon, you might want to keep this stellium in mind.
Going back to the new moon, since Gemini rules the mind, this is an excellent one for setting intentions for new pursuits that expand your awareness, such as education, travel, education, ideas, education.
While its conjunction to Venus is promising for love, it's also very encouraging for your income, and since Venus rules tangible possessions, this new moon could bring you something you've had your eye on for some time.
All in all, it sounds delightful, but there is a catch. It also squares Saturn, which could put a limit on your new beginning.
And while that would be a bummer, it's important to recognize that Saturn doesn't usually hold up a Stop sign for no reason. In fact, most of the time he's protecting us from some type of premature action because it isn't (or we aren't) ready yet. So should your new beginning be deficient or delayed, take a closer look at the situation.
On the other hand, it's possible that Saturn will help deliver a new beginning that goes the distance.
And that's because although squares are hard aspects that often coincide with challenges, the primary role of this aspect is to provoke action.
In my 35+ years of practice as a predictive astrologer, I've lost count of how many times people have experienced happy outcomes while Saturn was making a square in their chart, and it's something I've personally experienced more than once in my own life.
So don't let the square from the New Moon-Venus conjunction to Saturn get you down. Go right ahead and set your new moon intentions with gusto, and as you do, include the intention that not only is the provocative energy of the square going to bring them to life, but the concrete influence of Saturn will ensure that they go the distance.
