In between the New Moon in Libra and the Sun's ingress into Scorpio, transiting Neptune returns to Pisces for what will be its final swim with the Fish for 165 years.

And yes, it's going to make for an interesting week, so let's dive in!

Monday, October 20

Although today's Mercury-Mars conjunction is known for promoting snap judgments, impulsive statements and quick decisions that could come back to haunt you at a later date, this one's impetuous influence is tempered because it occurs in the calculating sign of Scorpio.

And that's definitely a good thing, because as long as you embrace the Scorpion's deliberate nature, this influence will help you think on your feet if you need to strategize, negotiate, pitch an idea, gather resources, defend your position or speak with passion and authority.

Tuesday, October 21

Immediately after the Libra new moon occurs at 8:27 AM, the transiting Moon goes void, so it's best to focus on routine matters until after the Moon enters Scorpio (11:40 AM).

The afternoon hours could find you questioning whether a person or an offer is trustworthy. If so, this is the time to ask probing questions and pay careful attention to what is being said, as well what isn't.

This is also a favorable time to conduct market research, fact-check sources and tackle complex issues.

If you feel emotionally unsteady as the day begins, you're likely experiencing the effect of the energetic shift brought about by Neptune as it retrogrades back into Pisces (5:59 AM). If so, rest assured that you'll quickly regain your balance thanks to the unwavering influence of the transiting Scorpio Moon.

Much like a lone wolf, today's transiting Scorpio Moon keeps to itself, which means its energetic nature is unaffected by any other planetary influences.

After a very brief void (12:15 AM - 12:20 AM), the focused energy of the past few days is dispelled as the transiting Moon enters the carefree sign of Sagittarius, an influence that will help alleviate the tension from today's transiting square between the Sun in Scorpio and Pluto in Aquarius.

The most common way the Sun-Pluto square is likely to show up in your life is in the form of an ego-driven power struggle where winning is very important to all of the parties involved, and given the fixed nature of the signs involved, both parties are likely to dig in their heels.

Fortunately, you can count on the silver-tongued influence of the transiting Mercury-Jupiter trine to inspire a face-saving solution that will allow everyone involved to walk away with their heads held up high.

Whether it's a personal aim or a professional ambition, the combined influence of the optimistic Sagittarius Moon and the productive transiting Mercury-Saturn trine makes this an excellent day to create a step-by-step plan for success.

Under this highly-organized influence, it will be easier to collect your thoughts, develop a coherent strategy, establish realistic time frames and identify potential strategic alliances and networking opportunities.

Although yesterday's productive energy spills over into today, its influence is short-lived as the optimism of the transiting Sagittarius Moon is challenged by the fear-mongering duo of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM).

After a very brief void (12:42 PM - 12:54 PM), the transiting Moon enters Capricorn, which is known for its perseverance in the face of adversity.

On that note, if you focus on how to overcome your doubts and/or fears rather than give more energy to them, you can expect to arrive at a constructive solution that will result in a positive mindset that restores harmony to the rest of your day.

NEPTUNE'S SWAN SONG

On October 22, transiting Neptune retrogrades back into Pisces where it will remain until it takes its final curtain call before moving into Aries on January 27, 2026.

When it exits Pisces, Neptune will officially put a period at the end of a 165 year planetary cycle, and while it's natural to look ahead, it's important that we use this time to reconsider the influence this cycle has had in our lives over the course of the past 14 years.

In short, what fogs have you burned through that brought you unparalleled clarity? What do you see clearly now that you didn't in the past?

And on that note, was this new-found clarity a delight or a disappointment?

For example, did you experience some type of spiritual enlightenment or discover that your faith in someone or something was misplaced? And if the latter, were you able to surrender any feelings of guilt, shame or remorse that were attached to it?

If not, there is no time like the present to release them, because your efforts will not only benefit from the dissolving influence of Neptune in Pisces but from its healing power as well.

Finally, it's of the utmost importance to note that from now until January 27, Neptune will be sitting at 29° Pisces.

Known as the anaretic degree, the 29th degree marks the end of a sign, and while it is associated with completion, it is also considered a degree of fate and/or karma that brings a final test or lesson before it moves into the next sign.

Given that Neptune never budges from this critical degree during its final months, my feeling is that a final test or lesson on the collective level is more likely than not.
