PLANETARY FORECAST

May 10 - 16, 2021

All dates are given in the Eastern Time Zone.

PLANETARY EVENTS

May 11: New Moon in Taurus

May 13: Jupiter enters Pisces

May 13: Mercury enters the pre-Rx shadow

While there are other days during this time frame that are fine, these are the best of the bunch. What do I mean by the best? The energy is flowing, the moon isn't void and there's a greater likelihood for happy and/or productive outcomes.

BEST DAYS: 11, 13, 16

The energies on these days aren't favorable for new ventures or any activity where you want or need a definite result. If you must schedule something, you may have to think on your feet, or there may be a need for patience or flexibility.

BEST AVOIDED: 10, 14

NOTABLE ASPECTS

May 11: Mars sextile Uranus

Certain combinations of Mars and Uranus energies can be combative, but that's not the case today. Instead, the gentle influence of this aspect can help you make productive changes in your life that are likely to provide you with more freedom. The only caveat is that it will take more than being clear on what you want to accomplish; you need to seize the moment and see it through to completion.

May 12: Mercury trine Saturn

This planetary combination supports rational thinking and attention to detail, which means it can be a very productive time if you are engaged in projects that require concentration. This influence also promotes clear communications, which makes it a good day for expressing your opinion or feelings to others. On another note, it will be easier to recognize what isn't working in your life, as well as decide what to do about it.

May 13: Sun sextile Neptune

If you've been wanting to work on an artistic project, this is an excellent day to do so because the energy supports creative efforts. This influence can also heighten sensitivity, so it's good for spiritual practices as well.

NEW MOON at 21°18' TAURUS

May 11, 2021 | 2:59 PM EDT

Washington, DC

Since this month's new moon (beginnings) is in Taurus (money) and closely sextiles (opportunity) Neptune in Pisces (magic), the potential for manifesting tangible resources, such as money and possessions, is stronger than usual.

It also happens to be moving towards an exact trine with Pluto, which suggests that a new resource could have a powerful influence on your life. While it could be a tangible resource, Pluto's influence means that it could also be an intangible one, such as a person's time, energy, trust or support.

Make no mistake. The influence of this new moon can definitely help you change your life for the better, provided you work with its energy by setting an intention and following through on opportunities.

Manifesting with the Taurus New Moon

You can set any intention under any new moon but when it happens to be in Taurus, it's especially favorable for:

Actions, intentions and affirmations to boost your income, increase your earning potential, attract material assets, strengthen your self-esteem and assist you in establishing new priorities This lunar energy is also helpful for attracting qualified financial planners and investment experts into your life.

TRANSITING JUPITER IN PISCES

May 13 - July 28

From May 13 - July 27, transiting Jupiter will dip its toe into Pisces and give us a brief preview of what to expect when it returns to the sign on December 29 for a lengthier stay.

As the ancient ruler of Pisces, Jupiter is dignified (strong) in the sign of the Fish. Collectively speaking, since Jupiter is about optimism and expansion and Pisces is about imagination and idealism, on the mundane level we're likely to hear encouraging news and big promises about a better future during the next 2.5 months. At the same time, we're also likely to hear some rather discouraging news and fear mongering because when Pisces can be fearful and paranoid. And no, that's not a contradiction. That's just the two sides of Jupiter in Pisces.

Whether any of Jupiter in Pisces's idealistic promises and/or doom and gloom predictions during this time come to pass will remain to be seen, and that includes whether there's even a sound basis for any of them. Why am I so cynical? Because Jupiter often exaggerates, Pisces doesn't always tell the truth, and to top it off,  Mercury will be retrograde for 3+ weeks (May 29 - June 22) while Jupiter is swimming in Neptune's ocean.

In contrast to the collective experience, on a personal level you can expect Jupiter in Pisces to instill a sense of optimism and faith in your life. Given the events of the past 12 months, we could all use a beautiful dream in our lives, and brief though it may be, this influence can deliver one.

So which life areas are likely to benefit from a dose of newfound hope and inspiration in your life? If you don't know which house holds 0° of Pisces in your horoscope, you can refer to the list below to find out which house Jupiter in Pisces is visiting in your solar (sun-sign based) chart.
