This month's new moon at the final degree of Virgo is the second consecutive one to take place in the sign of the Maiden, which brings in the possibility that something you started during the last new moon at the first degree of Virgo will experience a major growth spurt.
Whether or not that happens to be your experience, you can expect that any new beginnings that occur at this time are likely to have a significant impact on your future.
Since a solar eclipse occurs during a new moon, its purpose is to bring about a powerful new beginning in some area of your life, and if that means having eliminate circumstances that are blocking it, you can count on the eclipse to sweep it out of your way.
As the sign that constantly strives for perfection, the overriding theme of this solar eclipse in Virgo is a new beginning that leads to self-improvement.
Although mathematically the Virgo solar eclipse creates a grand trine (a fortunate planetary configuration that suggests an effortless flow of energy) with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, its energy is weakened because the aspects (trines) are with planets in air signs, not earth signs.
By sign, Gemini is conflict with Virgo while Aquarius makes it feel uncomfortable.
Since the solar eclipse is also opposite Saturn in Pisces and Neptune in Aries, this grand trine is part of a Kite pattern, which means these planets provide awareness that in order to make the dream (Neptune) a reality, we will have to build it (Saturn).
But with Neptune in Aries, which by sign makes Virgo feel awkward, the way forward (Aries) is likely to require an adjustment.
All that said, there is significant potential for an inspired new beginning that can be built from the ground up but it is going to require diligence and flexibilty.
For instance, your vision may require a few adjustments before you settle on a clear plan of action. Alternatively, you may need to adjust your expectations in terms of a timeline, or if you want to promote a product or service on social media, you may need to become comfortable with being on camera.
