Subject: ✨ Noteworthy Dates + The Importance of this Week's New Moon! ✨

Dear Stargazers,

If you need to accomplish something this week, I've included some time frames that are worthy of your attention, because since certain energies can (and often do) have an influence on outcomes, it's important to be aware of them.

Also worthy of your attention is this week's new moon at 0° 23' Virgo, which is the first of two consecutive new moons in the sign of the Maiden, with the second one being a solar eclipse at 29°05' (September 21).

NOTEWORTHY DATES

If you need to make an important decision or have tasks on your to-do list that require a definite result (which can be as simple as shopping for a specific item), there are a few lengthy void-of-course moon time frames that could work to your disadvantage if you take action while they re in effect.

Their dates and times (in EDT) are as follows:

  • Monday, August 18 from 7:54 AM to 3:06 PM

  • Wednesday, August 20 from 8:28 AM to 7:17 PM

  • Thursday, August 21 from 2:14 PM until Saturday, August 23 at 1:24 AM (this is not a typo!)

That said, these time frames are beneficial for routine matters and activities such as catching up on busy work, relaxing, meditating and spiritual practices. They are also very favorable for undergoing medical tests and procedures (or anything at all) where a negative result is the desired outcome.

NEW MOON at 0°23' ♍︎

August 23, 2025 • 2:06 AM EDT

Although the Maiden presides over our day-to-day activities, this month's new moon in Virgo isn't just about the beginning of a new routine.

It's about the beginning of a radical one, and it can be connected to any area of your life.

And yes, this is a good thing.

At 0° Virgo, this new moon sits at the threshold of the 6th house, and its square to Uranus says that it's time for the Maiden (and you) to be liberated from some aspect of the daily grind.

Given that Uranus is the planet of unforeseen events, it's possible that deliverance will begin in a sudden, unexpected or even revolutionary way. However, since the Maiden is the zodiac's resident expert on turning chaos into calm, you can count on her grounded, organized and adaptable nature to withstand whatever shocking circumstance that Uranus throws her way.

That said, the new moon is the focal planet in two Yods. A Yod is an aspect pattern also known as the Finger of God or Finger of Fate, and it consists of two planets that sextile each other while making a quincunx to a 3rd planet (the focal planet). The expression of the focal point is inhibited because the quincunxes demand some type of adjustment, and resolution is achieved by developing the potential of the sextiles.

In this case, the new moon makes a quincunx to Saturn in Aries and Neptune in Aries, as well as to Pluto in Aquarius. This means that adjustments will be needed in order to experience the new moon's promise of liberation from some area in your life where you are being weighed down.

The adjustments required of the new moon by the quincunxes from Saturn and Neptune in Aries speak loudly to a need for proactive self-interest, and Pluto in Aquarius requires rebellion against other people's expectations.

None of this is comfortable for the Maiden, and none of it may not be comfortable for you either.

Fortunately, the Maiden is an excellent problem solver, and her grounded approach, strong analytical skills and adaptable nature lead her to the only logical solution in light of the sextiles between Saturn, Neptune and Pluto.

To achieve life-changing (Pluto) freedom (Aquarius), she needs to feel the fear (Saturn and Neptune) and do it anyway (Aries).

If you follow her lead, not only will you experience relief in some area of your life, but you can expect to be richly rewarded by the solar eclipse.

So where are you being called to feel the fear and do it anyway in your life?

Look to the life areas of the house in your horoscope where the new moon at 0°23' Virgo occurs to find the answer. If you don't know exactly where 0°23' Virgo falls in your horoscope, use the list below to find out where the new moon falls in your horoscope according to your Rising sign.

If you don't know your Rising sign, then refer to the list below according to your solar (Sun-sign based) horoscope. As always, it's important to keep in mind that this transit will affect you more (or less) depending upon the aspects (if any) it makes to your personal horoscope.

If your Rising Sign is:

Aries, it falls in your 6th house of work, service, employees, physical health, diet, nutrition, exercise, daily routines and pets.

Taurus, it falls in your 5th house of romance, children, entertainment, sports, creativity, hobbies and other pleasurable pursuits.

Gemini, it falls in your 4th of home, family, parents, real estate, intuition and emotional security.

Cancer, it falls in your 3rd house of siblings, neighbors, cousins, short trips, transportation, early education and all forms of communications.

Leo, it falls in your 2nd house of earned income, banking and finance, tangible assets, values and self-esteem.

Virgo, it falls in your 1st house of the self, including your physical appearance and approach and attitude towards life.

Scorpio, it falls in your 11th house of hopes, wishes, groups, associations, casual friends, colleagues, fans and followers.

Sagittarius, it falls in your 10th house of career, public status and reputation, bosses and authority figures.

Capricorn, it falls in your 9th house of long-distance travel, higher education, legal matters, media, religion, philosophy, in-laws and grandchildren.

Aquarius, it falls in your 8th house of other people's money and support, jointly-held resources, intimacy, trust and estate matters.

Pisces, it falls in your 7th house of lawsuits and important one-to-one relationships, including marriage, business partners, best friends, clients and adversaries.

Manifesting with the Virgo New Moon

If you plan to do a new moon ritual for abundance, be sure to do it after the new moon has occurred at 2:06 AM EDT (remember to adjust for your time zone). If you do it before it occurs, you will be trying to attract something during a powerful time of release. Personally, I like to wait a few days to give the Moon time to grow a bit.

Now, you can plant energetic seeds for anything under any new moon, but when it's in Virgo, it is especially beneficial for intentions to improve your health, diet, exercise and daily routines, as well as to manifest a new job, improve working conditions and enhance employee relationships.

It's also favorable for setting intentions to attract qualified employees, skilled accountants, physical trainers, chefs, veterinarians, nannies, nutritionists and cleaning services.
