Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Tuesday early morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than usual.
We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all, especially those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But that idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities.
A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It’s also an excellent time to release fears—especially those based on a sense of separation—and experience “oneness.”
Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
Monday at 2:55am EDT, we enter a long Moon VoC that will last for 27.5 hours, until 6:33am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to tap into a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect with loved ones.
As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever feelings or sensations comes up to be beneficial for you.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday very early morning until Tuesday morning ahead of time! (Moon in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer)
Monday at 3:30am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt again at almost 4 degrees of Leo — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase (which began on July 17/18th at 15.5 degrees of Leo), and slowly starts its direct motion again.
As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind, and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase — more on that in a moment…
We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.
Ask yourself: What did I learn about myself? What inner chatter that no longer sparks joy was I able to silence?
Was there anything I needed to express, release, or change to feel fully heart-centered and authentically myself? Where have I gained insight into myself over the past 3 weeks? Where do I still need to be more fully myself?
What did my inner dialog teach me? How might I share my findings in a healthy way?
When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Aug. 17th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.
Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 2-6 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio.
Monday after 3:30am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Aug. 24th…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back:
If you want to buy, sell, or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct.
This is especially true if the items are connected to travel, physical activities, technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.), or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.
Monday very late in the evening, a long-term, opportune Saturn/Uranus aspect becomes exact again at 11:32pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 4th on; it will remain strong until Sept. 8th.
We already experienced this aspect once before — exact on April 4th — strong from March 10th – May 12th, 2025. Think back to those dates, what opportunities were unfolding for you during that time?
Due to Saturn’s Retrograde phase between July 13th and Nov. 27th, we will experience this aspect a third time in January 2026 (exact on the 20th).
An opportune aspect supports the incorporation of new ideas and changes; this particular one facilitates commitments around our vision for a better future — especially how we interact and communicate with others, and within our daily commute.
All aspects connect back to the previous conjunction. Saturn and Uranus were last conjunct in Sagittarius in 1988; this marked the beginning of a cycle that will conclude in June 2032. At that point, Saturn and Uranus will start a new cycle in a late degree of Gemini.
If you remember 1988, ask yourself: What began in your life? What did you learn about life? Who have you become because of those experiences?
Returning to our current Saturn/Uranus combination: By focusing tightly on ourselves, we gain a better understanding of our thought processes, which helps us express our unique ideas, quirks, and differences. We can more readily dedicate ourselves to goals that help us with this — and by learning more about our mental abilities, we can accomplish more in less time.
This combination presents an opportunity for significant progress and long-term changes in how we connect with others, ourselves, and the planet. It could lead to a healthier relationship with our planet and our ability to communicate and exchange ideas.
Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store — certainly unexpected ones.
Ask yourself: How might an open mind benefit me and others? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe!
Remember, though: “opportunities” are not automatically granted to us. We have to “realize” them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Aquarius, or 29 degrees of Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Capricorn (the Saturn rules Capricorn; Uranus rules Aquarius).
