Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful, comfort-loving Taurus until 1:21pm EDT; we love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and stick with what works well.
In other words, change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday at 9:52am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 3.5 hours, until 1:21pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for your visions and share what is important to you — in particular, what you envision for the future around money and finances.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until the afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 1:21pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. For the next two days, we seek to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible.
“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably while multitasking. The one thing we want to avoid is boredom: If our mind is not engaged, we might as well curl up and play dead.
This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards today’s New Moon (exact in the late evening). Feel free to watch my video on the subject here (if you haven’t seen it yet).
Monday late afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 4:37pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday evening (May 25th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday evening (May 27th). This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process.
Faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will serve us well at this time. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done.
Find inspiration and inspire others! Whether it’s a book, a song, a movie, someone else’s words, or your own, let the Universe speak to you or through you.
Open your mind to a higher vibration — and remember, opportunities are openings… they aren’t necessarily handed to us… we have to “take” them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).
One notable facet of this New Moon chart is the planetary line-up in Gemini, involving the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Jupiter!
With this much emphasis on Gemini, we are invited to pay attention to our minds, communications, and any information coming our way.
Gemini is the archetype of curiosity, communication in all its forms, and mental connections — it represents the development of language and intelligence, as well as our ability to adapt and relate to our immediate environment.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 4-8 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo, the Moon rules Cancer)
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So, this month, any time between 11:02pm on May 26th and 9am on May 28th. Then there will be a 4.5-hour period on May 28th, during which the Moon will be void of course, from 9am until 1:32pm. It is best to avoid setting your Intention during that time.
And from 1:32pm until 11:02pm on May 28th, still a great time to set your Intentions during the most potent time. (and please note that I provide all times in the Eastern Daylight Time zone, i.e., New York City).
