Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day; it will journey there until Wednesday very early morning (Dec. 25th). The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic.
We are more polite now as we seek the approval of others. We want to maintain equal, fair relationships and are thus more open to compromises and negotiations.
The next two days are an excellent time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No.”
One last quick note: this is also an excellent time for anything related to the visual arts. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact later today).
Monday morning around 6am EST, the Sun in Capricorn squares the Moon Nodes in Aries-Libra. We started to feel this build last Friday (Dec. 20th); it will remain strong until this Wednesday. This indicates a turning point on our journey — collectively and individually speaking.
We are being asked to take a 90-degree turn to become more aware of our authority in the world. Doing what’s “right” is important to us now, but it may not always align with what we truly want for ourselves.
Ask yourself: If the world needed something from me, what might that be? Are my ambitions interfering with my ability to connect with others? How can I stay true to myself while considering other people’s needs?
How could I create 5% more balance in my life? Could I be 5% more aware of how honest and accepting I am in my relationships?
The empty leg (for the Sun’s Square to the Moon Nodes) lies in Cancer; we are invited to pay attention to our basic needs: love and acceptance, safety and security.
We are reminded to nurture ourselves, especially our feeling body, and to be open to receiving support from familiar, trusted people — as best as we can, of course.
Ask yourself: How could I nurture myself to the point that I am at once connected to others and yet wholly independent? What role does inner safety (physical & emotional) play in this?
How might a commitment to my emotional well-being support me with my long-term goals and my relationships (including the one with myself)?
How might nurturing myself support my connection to the world at large? How might it support my career ambitions? What if self-care was a first step toward meaningful achievement?
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Libra or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this aspect more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).
Monday evening, an opportune Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 7:46pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday very early morning (Dec. 22nd) on; it will remain strong until Wednesday evening (Dec. 25th). It’s an opportunity to heal our wounds around relationships or our sense of self-worth.
We get a chance to love ourselves and heal deep fears of not being “good enough”. Healing happens much faster when we are open to forgiving ourselves and others.
As best as you can, bring compassion and understanding to yourself, others, and those past experiences that wounded you.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity.
This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).
Monday night, Chiron’s Station intensifies at 19 degrees of Aries. Since Chiron comes to a halt on Dec. 29th; we will feel the effects of this intensified Station phase until January 4th. As mentioned in last week’s forecast, Chiron’s energies are more exalted during this period.
Chiron is the Wounded Healer; in Aries, our attention is turned toward our physical and sexual wounds and any wounding around our self-identity.
Chiron represents our inner insecurities, those self-conscious and wounded places. Chiron also represents the inner wound of abandonment and our need to “make it on our own.”
What limitations are you aware of regarding the “traditional masculine”? Can you own that you (regardless of gender) have experienced these limitations within yourself? Have you experienced these limitations through others? Can you allow yourself to feel the pain and shame connected to those experiences?
What might be possible if you could get in touch with your humanity? Your insecurities? Your pain? Your shame? Could you allow yourself to embrace all of you?
We are invited to approach these wounds holistically, to heal them so that others are healed. This can be accomplished very simply and naturally when we work with the true beauty and strength of this energy: Compassion.
Having compassion for our own wounds and bringing healing compassion for similar wounds in others ultimately helps us in our own healing process, as it connects us more fully to our own and other people’s humanity.
What physical or sexual wounding could you now acknowledge? Where are your insecurities around personal goals or being a leader in your unique way?
What needs your compassion or even your love? What needs to heal? What might a non-judgmental (and unique) approach in this area of your life bring to that healing journey?
Those with personal planets and points (ASC or MC) in 17-21 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn will feel this station more strongly.
