BUSINESS PROFILE

Gia Café & Bistro in Leura offers a distinctive dining experience that fuses European classics with the bold flavours of Sri Lanka. Chef Chathun Perera, drawing on his extensive international background - including roles in luxury hotels and kitchens worldwide - crafts a menu that balances familiar comfort with exotic influences.

During breakfast and lunch, the café serves elevated dishes such as fish and chips with a light crumb, potato rosti, mushroom toasties, and a Sri Lankan-inspired curry omelette. The kitchen emphasises sustainability by using local produce and repurposing offcuts for stocks and soups.

Friday and Saturday evenings at Gia Café focus on Sri Lankan-style shared curries, accompanied by a well-curated selection of wines, beers, cocktails, and spirits to complement the spices. The intimate setting, seating 50 guests, fosters a communal dining atmosphere inspired by Sri Lankan hospitality.

Open Thursday to Sunday, Gia Café offers a thoughtful, seasoned approach to food and service, making it a standout culinary destination in the Blue Mountains.
