Dear Friend of America's Survival, Inc.:

Her is my latest: Why Did Cantor Protect Obama?

My previous column has been picked up by various sites, including GOPUSA and World Tribune.

The new column begins:

The central figures in the David Petraeus sex scandal are not talking. That includes Virginia Congressman and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Yet, the decision by this top Republican to turn to the FBI rather than his colleagues in the House with inside information about the scandal has proven to be monumental, a development that enabled Barack Obama to win the presidency without getting tainted by the allegations of immorality and corruption that are now the subject of daily news reports.

Read the rest here.

But there's more: the father of Petraeus mistress Paula Broadwell is quoted by the New York Daily News as saying that his daughter is the victim of character assassination and that what has been in the news is just a smoke screen for something bigger: "This is about something else entirely, and the truth will come out. There is a lot more that is going to come out. You wait and see. There's a lot more here than meets the eye."

What does this mean?

All we know for sure is that the affair happened and the FBI — and Eric Cantor — covered it up before the election.

My new column notes, "In one of the latest developments, which demonstrates the serious nature of the scandal, Jennifer Griffin of Fox News has confirmed that Petraeus mistress Paula Broadwell did release classified information in a public forum when talking about the CIA holding prisoners at a facility in Libya. It is likely that Broadwell got the information from Petraeus."

Will Petraeus be prosecuted for revealing state secrets?

Consider what Fran Townsend said on CNN regarding Petreaus friend Jill Kelley:

TOWNSEND: "We don't really understand the full import of Jill Kelley and her many relationships. I think we have to assume it's not just with Dave Petraeus and [General] John Allen. She had access to all sorts of senior military leaders in Tampa, which was CentCom and the Special Operations Command, and I suspect that they're looking at whether or not she was just sort of a bored socialite as General Allen's spokesperson suggested or whether she was being sort of directed by a foreign intelligence service." (Emphasis added)

BLITZER: Which is a serious allegation obviously.

TOWNSEND: Absolutely.

General Allen allegedly engaged in a form of "phone sex" with Kelley by sending affectionate emails back and forth. She is apparently the person who blew the whistle on the Petraeus-Broadwell relationship, after "jealous" e-mails were reportedly sent by Broadwell to Kelley.

This is one big mess, with dramatic implications for our national security. And a top House Republican decided to conceal the scandal before the election.

Why am I one of the few raising questions about this bi-partisan pre-election cover-up?
