Dear Friend of America's Survival:

What a week - first an earthquake and then a hurricane.

I've been off-line and without power for several days. Mine just came back today. Boy, did I stink! This makes you appreciate a nice shower.

We had to flush toilets with water that my wife had stored in a bathtub.

Here's what my front yard looked like - a couple trees down:

This was on the road outside my home - power lines down. Notice how the pole was split:

This is one of my neighbors. A bigger tree fell in the back yard:

Don't believe this nonsense about the hurricane being mild. Many people in southern Maryland are still without power. It has devastated many regions of the U.S.

Before the hurricane, the earthquake was a real shocker. My whole house was shaking. Then we got hit with a hurricane. We lost our power and had to listen to the winds and rain literally shaking our house. It struck the hardest around midnight. We live in and around trees and didn't know which ones would fall. Fortunate, in our case, they fell away from our home.

I'll never forget this week. Thank you God for our survival.

Cliff Kincaid, President
