Dear Friend of America's Survival:

The U.S. Senate voted 61-36 to take up discussion of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and a vote on the treaty itself is expected on Tuesday. I have posted a video of Rick Santorum, Senator Mike Lee, and other opponents of the treaty. Please take some time to review this matter.

If Obama and the liberals can pass this badly-flawed treaty, which enjoys some Republican support, they will move on to more dangerous treaties. A treaty requires 67 votes for passage, which means we need 34 votes to stop it.

Some of the 36 Senators voting against taking up debate over the treaty cannot necessarily be counted on to vote against the treaty when it comes up for a vote.  Some may defect to the pro-treaty side. It will be close.

I do not make apologies for, or excuse, Republicans. You know my view on Romney as a failed candidate. I have just written a piece on some of his advisers.  GOPUSA is highlighting the column, but you can read it on my own website www.usasurvival.org.
