Dear Friend of America’s Survival:

Global trade is one of the major issues of the year. It is important we understand the stakes. In essence, we have a major opportunity to strike a blow against world government, as it develops under the cover of “globalization.”

I have warned you about so-called “conservative” groups promoting “free trade” in the form of global agreements which destroy our industrial base and eliminate our jobs. The Heritage Foundation claims NAFTA is in the national security interests of the United States and that withdrawal would be a huge mistake. Heritage claims NAFTA was “visionary” and “an economic success story.” It is devoting a major conference to this topic:

Glenn Beck has also come out against the Trump tariffs, saying this announcement from Trump constitutes “the biggest blunder in his presidency” because it will hurt the economy. Beck said. “The data is clear: Protectionist policies only make things more expensive for consumers with few benefits for the protected industry.”

But “free trade” isn’t working. Here are the facts:

Passed in 1993, NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, began the process of harmonizing laws among the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The U.S.-Mexico trade balance swung from a $1.7 billion U.S. surplus in 1993 to a $71 billion deficit in 2017.

In addition to shipping jobs to Mexico, NAFTA constituted subversion of our constitutional system. President Clinton submitted NAFTA as an agreement, requiring only a majority of votes in both Houses of Congress for passage, and not a treaty, which would have required a two-thirds vote in favor in the Senate. NAFTA passed by votes of 234-200 in the House and 61-38 in the Senate.

I suggest reviewing the following from our website:

Trump Threatens “North American Union” Scheme

Our objection is not to trade, but to global institutions which manage trade to the detriment of the United States. The NAFTA process and the WTO are examples of this.

Remember one of the remarks that got Hillary defeated. It was her secret speech in which she said, “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders…”
