Dear Friend of America’s Survival:

Have you seen the news from South Africa:

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, anti-apartheid activist and 'Mother of the Nation,' dies at 81

Winnie Mandela was a nasty woman. She was known for endorsing "neck lacing," in which communist goons would bind or cut off the hands of blacks suspected of working with the government, drape tires filled with gasoline around their necks, and set them on fire. In April 1986, Winnie Mandela publicly endorsed "neck lacing," telling a Soweto mob, "With our necklaces we will liberate this country." She was Nelson Mandela’s second wife. Their 1958 wedding ceremony was “attended by a few close friends, including the communist writer Michael Harmel.”

I’ll be watching to see who praises Winnie Mandela. Will Obama?

Our book on Obama Comrade Obama Unmasked has a whole chapter on Obama and South Africa, written by Alex Newman.

Thanks for the reaction to my column on Laura Ingraham. It reminds me of the time I went after Limbaugh for his attack on birth control advocate Sandra Fluke. Limbaugh survived; I doubt that Ingraham will. Advertisers and even stations had abondoned Limbaugh over comments about Fluke being a "slut" and "prostitute." I said at the time:

Limbaugh's attack was based on the assumption that birth control pills have no other medical purpose than preventing pregnancy. That was false. Young women also use them for such problems as irregular or absent menstrual periods, menstrual cramps, acne, PMS, and endometriosis. Some conservatives pointed out that Limbaugh also got his facts wrong by claiming Fluke was demanding tax-subsidized contraception.

I have always been a stickler for accuracy, and have made my share of mistakes. But when personal attacks boomerang on these conservative media personalities, they have to be prepared to defend themselves. Sometimes the best way out is a personal apology. Limbaugh did that, and so did Ingraham. The problem for Ingraham is that it seemed insincere.

The additional problem for Ingraham is that she attacked gun control advocate David Hogg for something unrelated to the gun issue. That was a big mistake. More than a dozen companies said they will pull advertisements from her program. In Ingraham’s case, she is a public in-your-face Christian who should have known better. You reap what you sow. Galatians 6:7.

Nobody is above criticism; you know that we have been critical on America’s Survival TV of the pope, Obama, and others. We don’t spare anybody. As a conservative, I do not put the cause above self-proclaimed conservatives who get in hot water. It is necessary sometimes to understand where they have gone wrong.

Local radio pesonality Chris Plante jokes that if it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all. We should have higher standards and live up to them.

Meanwhile, keep a keen eye open for stories about the death of Winnie Mandela. Look closely for any reference to her support for “neck lacing.” And let me know who issues any praise for her.
