To ASI Supporters:

Fox News has now apologized for guest panelist Anna Paulina when she compared Hillary Clinton to herpes: she won’t go away. Maybe this kind of humor is not everyone’s cup of tea, but why apologize for a bad joke? This is more evidence that Fox News is coming under the increasing control of the left.

Fox News never apologized when openly gay anchor Shep Smith called Christians “haters.” But Fox News banned Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch for life when he criticized George Soros.

Even worse is the collapse of the Trump presidency.

My friends, please ask Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to block consideration of the Trump-backed jailbreak legislation known as the First Step Act. The bill, notes Paul Mirengoff at PowerLine, “enables the early release from federal prison of most categories of federal felons and sets lower mandatory minimum sentences for many federal drug felons…”

McConnell: Phone: (202) 224-2541

California conservative Steve Baldwin told me, “We did ‘prison reform’ here in California and Gov. Jerry Brown let thousands of criminals out of prison and, as expected, many of them have committed more crimes.  I can’t believe Trump is falling for this crap.”

My fellow Americans, we need to wake up. Trump’s presidency is collapsing and the answer is not for Trump to make deals to let criminals out of jail. Read my column at News With Views: Is Trump’s Presidency Collapsing? It begins:

The high-tech Big Media companies and academia are two major headquarters for the anti-Trump movement in America. President Trump refuses to take them on, except in ineffective Tweets. Now it looks like he’s selling out to the “prison reform” movement and Big Marijuana. This means more criminals and potheads on the streets. How’s that for making America great again?

“Starting next week,” reports Politico, “the Faith and Freedom Coalition will ask its 2 million members to flood Congress with letters and phone calls [in support of the First Step bill], said coalition Chairman Ralph Reed.”

You may want to look into “Religious Right” leader Ralph Reed’s background. Google Ralph Reed and Jack Abramoff.

The bill is opposed or criticized by:

  • The National Association of Assistant United States Attorneys
  • National Sheriffs' Association
  • Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association
  • Association of Federal Narcotics Agents
  • National Association of Police Organizations
  • National Narcotics Officers' Associations' Coalition.

Acting United States Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, who spent nearly five years as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, is said to have serious reservations about the first Step Act.

Equally worrisome, on another matter, Trump’s trade deal wth Mexico and Canada has a provision for LGBTQ “rights.” Why doesn’t Ralph Reed protest that?

So, my friends, let’s be honest. The Trump presidency is in deep trouble. And so are we.

But we can do something to stop the pro-criminals bill.
