Dear Friend of America’s Survival:

I tuned into the Academy Awards for two minutes and saw Jimmy Kimmel ask somebody for pot and then two people made a pitch for the illegal alien DREAMERS. It was a waste of two minutes. But the marijuana explains quite a bit.

I can’t claim marijuana is to blame for how the globalists at the Council on Foreign Relations are reacting to Trumps’ tariffs:

AMRITA NARLIKAR is identified as President of the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies and a professor at the University of Hamburg. His claim is that the WTO has brought many people out of poverty in China and India. But at the expense of American workers.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) has been a disaster for the United States. It was designed to enable foreign countries like China, Russia, and India to take advantage of the United States.

You need to know that so-called conservative and libertarian organizations like the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute had argued for Russia joining the WTO. A Cato report on the topic was titled, “Trading with the Bear: Why Russia’s Entry into the WTO Is in America’s Interest.” It stated that the trade benefits to Russia “may function as a source of goodwill, motivating Russia to liberalize more quickly, deeply, and transparently,” and that Russia might move “toward a more open, modern, and globally integrated economy.”

How’d that work out?

According to BreakingIsraelNews and other reports, Russia has now developed the Satan 2 nuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile, also known as the RS-28. Containing 16 warheads, the Satan 2 delivers a blast of 40 megatons, 2,000 times more powerful than the atom bomb that destroyed Hiroshima.

Cato’s Simon Lester has also argued that China's development and industrialization have been, on balance, good news for the American economy. He published that in January of this year. How has that worked out?

Look at this from the Heritage Foundation:

Heritage published that in 2002.Here’s what Heritage published on China in 2016:

Tariffs are an expression of American sovereignty.

George Washington signed the Tariff Act of 1789 into law. It was designed to raise revenue and protect domestic industries from foreign predators.

Washington didn’t believe in free trade.
