[ASI] President H.W. Bush

To ASI Supporters:

He was a great person but a lousy president.

President George H.W. Bush was a great patriot who sacrificed to save our country. He was also a great family man. He was tremendously brave in wartime. We need more Americans like him.

As a president and a former president, however, his record was questionable. It’s important to set the record straight even while praising him. He embraced the odious “New World Order” and Mikhail S. Gorbachev. It was Soviet President Gorbachev, even while promoting the policy of “perestroika,” or the restructuring of the Soviet state, who declared, “We are moving toward a new world order, the world of communism. We shall never turn off that road.”

The George Bush Award for Excellence in Public Service was given to Gorbachev in 2001. It was given to notorious womanizer and Chappaquiddick hero Senator Edward M. Kennedy in 2003. Back in 2012 House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi praised George H.W. Bush for his work with Bill Clinton on aid to Haiti. Bush was loved by Democrats. He won election to one term in 1988 and last another after breaking a promise -- "Read my lips: no new taxes" -- not to raise taxes. He lost to Bll Clinton in 1992.

He said, “The Congress will push me to raise taxes, and I'll say no, and they'll push, and I'll say no, and they'll push again. And I'll say to them: 'Read my lips, no new taxes.'”
An even worse deception is that he ended the Cold War with Russia through his cooperation with Gorbachev.

It was that deception that enabled another deception to take root – the idea that humans are changing the climate and that humans could save the earth through socialism. Analyst Natalie Grant Wraga said, “…protection of the environment has become the principal tool for attack against the West.” In her 1998 article, “Green Cross: Gorbachev and Enviro-Communism,” Wraga, who dropped her last name and wrote under the byline Natalie Grant, explained in detail how the Soviet deception campaign, using the climate as an organizing tool, was developed. It was launched after the so-called collapse of the Soviet state, when Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Soviet president, embarked on an environmental crusade, using the United Nations and other international organizations. Eventually, this effort continued through various United Nations conferences, including the Earth Summit of 1992, giving rise to the concept of “sustainable development,” another way to describe socialism.

Grant wrote, “Protection of the environment may be used as a pretext to adopt a series of measures designed to undermine the industrial base of developed nations. It may also serve to introduce malaise by lowering their standard of living and implanting communist values.” Grant predicted how this campaign would proceed, using “nightmarish” pictures of floods, scorched earth, disease and death, unless drastic action was taken at the international level to curb industrial activity in the capitalist West.

We see Gorbachev’s campaign reflected in the Green New Deal of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. More government, this time at a global level, is the answer to desease, death, etc.

I can’t help thinking of this “Enviro-Communism” as a secular response to what the Bible describes in Luke 21:25 as the end of the world:  “…On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”

The idea that socialism or communism will save us is very attractive. In the West, many persist in the desire for a “New World Order,” another term for a man-made solution to the world’s problems.

Look at the declaration that came out of the G20 meeting: Building consensus for fair and sustainable development. This time, the popular phrase is “sustainable development.” The G20 is made up of the European Union and 19 countries: Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, United States, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Russia, South Africa and Turkey.

Rather than embrace global socialism, the White House issued this worthwhile document on the G20 meeting, noting that President Trump’s economic policies have resulted in the United States seeing historically low unemployment and strong economic growth.

I prefer America-first to the New World Order. What about you?
