To ASI Supporters:

You subscribe to the ASI news service because you want to sort through the disinformation and misinformation. Our new ASI TV interview with Garland Favorito looks at what he calls “the Deep State chess match being played by Donald Trump and Senate Democrats at the [Kavanaugh] confirmation hearing.” It is all a major diversion from the critical point about Kavanaugh’s character – his involvement in the Foster death case.

The evidence suggests Trump knows Kavanaugh is a flawed nominee but felt he would be acceptable to the Senate Democrats and the Deep State. The plan went haywire when the sexual assault charge came into play. It has seriously backfired on Trump and the Republicans, to the point where the polls now suggest that the Democrats will take the House AND the Senate in November. Here’s what Newsmax is reporting:

Democrats are leading in the polls for most of the closely contested states as strategists are beginning to question whether the GOP’s firewall in the Senate is strong enough to prevent a total Democratic takeover of Congress in November.

My new column raises the possibility that the FBI uncovered the charge during a “background” investigation of Kavanaugh. And now we find evidence of a Sex Abuse Scandal at Judge Kavanaugh’s Georgetown Prep Catholic High School.”  Kavanaugh jokingly said in a 2015 speech at Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law in 2015, “What happens at Georgetown Prep, stays at Georgetown Prep.”

This doesn’t look good. Plus, one of Kavanaugh’s friends, Ed Whelan, has published – and then deleted and apologized for– a post saying the sexual assault on Ford was carried out by someone else at Georgetown Prep who looked like Kavanaugh!.

Whelan is the President of the Ethics and Public Policy Center and blogger for National Review.

My column notes: All of this could have been avoided if President Trump had nominated a good conservative pro-life woman to the Supreme Court. Instead, he listened to his White House counsel and Washington insider Don McGhan and nominated Kavanaugh, another Washington insider who grew up in the Swamp and has served it faithfully.

Conservative commentator Gregg Jackson is right: Urge President Trump to withdraw the nomination and nominate Judge Coney Barrett.

Ronald A. Krotoszynski Jr., a professor at the University of Alabama School of Law, says Kavanaugh, if confirmed, could be impeached. But he argues that’s because of the sex case, not the handling of the Foster death.

Finally, Chris Wallace of Fox News claims Kavanaugh is a “very conservative” nominee. Nonsense. Get the facts here: Concerns with the Nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh As Associate Justice to the United States Supreme Court.
