Dear Friend of America’s Survival:

Trump tomorrow officially nominates General James N. “Mad Dog” Mattis as Secretary of Defense. Mattis was dismissed by the Obama Administration.

He is outspoken about the lack of a grand strategy against our enemies. He also makes some interesting comments about how the Obama Administration is sympathetic to the pro-terrorist Muslim Brotherhood. I suggest taking some time to watch this speech at the Heritage Foundation, especially a few minutes, from 37:16 to about 42 minutes or so. Mattis understands what motivates Obama.

The liberals in the media are altready attacking the pick. An article in Politico is headlined, James Mattis’ 33-Year Grudge Against Iran. Many in the Pentagon worry that Trump’s pick for defense secretary is looking for a fight in the Middle East.

A grudge? on October 23, 1983, Iran ordered and carried out the bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Lebanon, killing 241 American military personnel. The Politico author, Mark Perry, says the suicide bomber was “Iran-trained.” The truth is more detailed than that.

This is what I reported in 2003 about the Iranian role in the 1983 Marine Barracks bombing:

A trial was recently held in Washington, D.C. at which detailed evidence was presented of the Iranian role. Much of this evidence was known to the Reagan Administration at the time. The trial involves a case brought against Iran by attorney Steven Perles on behalf of the families of many of those Marines who were killed. Under U.S. law victims of terrorism can sue state sponsors of terrorism and collect damages from the assets that the terrorist regime may hold in the U.S. The trial featured a video-taped deposition of a former terrorist insider named “Mahmoud,” who said that Iran ordered the terrorists to attack the U.S. Marines and French troops in Lebanon, and that the driver of the truck carrying the bomb was an Iranian. Former CIA officer Robert Baer testified that there was no doubt that Iran was behind it. He said the bombing was an act of war.
