Featuring Chernow’s stone lithographs and etchings of femme fatales, and Burroughs’ lenticular photographs drawn from “Double Indemnity” movie footage, the artists harness the stylistic elements of deep shadows, striated light and distorted angles that have become the hallmark of the genre. “Double Indemnity” explores the visual power found in the well-crafted deceits and betrayals that are at the black heart of this iconic movie genre.
