We end this year filled with gratitude and surrounded by abundance. I am honored to be a part of this vibrant and growing community. 2023 has been a year of incredible impact and positive changes across the artistic landscape. I am inspired by you all!

Across our region, artists and creatives have hosted events, curated exhibitions, developed programs, and held performances that raise the bar of possibilities for other communities that wish to strengthen art and culture.

In our upcoming communications, you will learn about a few CAFC members and initiatives that demonstrate the importance of our work to convene, strengthen, and develop others. Together, we bring vibrancy to where we live and work while enriching our community and driving our local economy. Wendy Gerbier celebrated the holidays with several concerts this season, including a concert at MoCA Westport. "The Holidays with Wendy G!" featured accompaniment by baritone, David Harris. It was an unforgettable evening of classical and festive melodies.

Ellen Gordon will be featured as a solo artist in The Greenwich Art Society's "Artwork by Ellen Gordon" exhibit at Burton Young Health and Beauty Center. An Artists Reception will be held on December 14th and the show will be on view through February 20th, 2024. Ellen is an award-winning mixed media artist. The colors and patterns in her artwork paintings are roller coaster rhythms of fences, grids, and fractured geometries. Ellen's most recent work has been a transition into the abstract patterns, experimenting with geometric shapes and inverted forms in color palettes evoking various states of mind. WEBSITE

Brian Whelan is exhibiting his large nontych painting ‘Holy City’ painting at the Barone Center at the University of Fairfield. This painting celebrates the three Abrahamic faiths living in harmony, and was first exhibited in the Washington National Cathedral in 2016 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2001. With the tragic conflict in the Middle East, the University and its community are using this painting as a visual reminder that peace and love of neighbor is at the heart of all three faiths.
