Artistic Celebration of Motherhood May 1-May 31, 2021
Location: Online at www.stamfordartassociation.org
Entry Deadline: Monday, March 29, 2021
Opening: May 1-30, 2021 4pm on Zoom

The Stamford Art Association (SAA) and The Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists (CSOPA) have partnered to create a special event paying tribute to mothers. The online exhibition, Artistic Celebration of Motherhood, is a multi-media event featuring original art ranging from classic portraiture to abstract expressionism. Each of the sponsors will exhibit a display of their artwork with a link to the other organization's artwork.

This is a multimedia juried exhibit with cash prizes. SAA is asking artists to submit 1-5 pieces of artwork on the theme of Motherhood. If you are entering with a painting, drawing or sculpture of classic representational portraits, you must enter through the CSOPA website, http://www.csopa.org/2021ACMArtistsPage.html. All other artwork should be entered through SAA.

There will be a Zoom opening on May 1 at 4:00 pm. A select number of pieces will be shown in a pop-up show in downtown Stamford: if you wish to be considered for the pop-up your work must not exceed 36x24 framed and must be wired for hanging. No size restrictions for the virtual show.

Categories: For CSOPA - original drawing, painting and sculptural media only of representational portraits. For SAA - Painting, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Photography, Drawing, Printmaking in any style except representational portraits

Criteria: Artists should submit original work that has not been shown before at the SAA gallery or SAA sponsored exhibitions (except for the Faber Birren show.) Except for photographs, prints of any kind (lithographs, etchings, computer generated art etc) should be signed and numbered as a limited edition. Giclees will not be accepted.
Entry is through Entrythingy HERE
HAVE A SALES SITE?
THEN ADD IT TO YOUR PROFILE

This year we added a new feature to your Cultural Alliance membership profile page. If you have an account on a sales website - such as ArtsySaatchiFine Art America, and more (see one list of recommended sites here) - or a gallery - you can add it to your CAFC profile page and get a "BUY MY ART" button that links to that sales site.

HOW TO DO IT:
Visit your sales site and copy the URL found in the window at the top of the page:
Then log-in to your account on the CAFC website and click "My Membership" on your Dashboard.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to where all your social media links are and paste the URL you have copied into the "Store Link" box.

Click the green "Update" button on the page and you're done.
A blue "Buy My Art" button will then appear on your profile page, linked to your Sales Site.

We plan a campaign for all E-Buzz and other readers to go to our website and to find artists with Buy My Art buttons.

If you get stuck, lost or confused, don't hesitate to contact me at david@culturalalliancefc.org and I can help you complete the job.
