Welcome to my March musings.

1. Since we last spoke I've been to the USA and back.

It was a great trip, worship leading, Celtic Concert,
recording (video from the studio here http://blog.andyrogersmusic.com/heres-a-quick-update-from-the-studio-in-nashville/) and meeting some old and new friends.

It was especially satisfying to meet some of you who I have
only known through this newsletter or my blog (Troy,
Kenneth, Brad, Darren, Robert and Dudley - you know who you
are, it was great to put faces to the names!).

I've been to the US 3 times in the last 3 years. This has
been the fruition of some specific prophetic words that I
have been getting since about 2000 and it has been very
fulfilling to observe how God has been networking
relationships in that time.

This time around I also had the opportunity to talk with
some 'music industry' folks. I felt that it was time to be
a bit more strategic about my USA visits, to date they have
happened very organically but maybe it's time to be more
pro-active.

Just before my trip a number of unrelated connections with
these folks opened up so I conclude that God may be nudging
in that direction.

Anyways I had some talks with a great booking agent who has
a real heart to serve the worshiping church by making the
right connections for worship leaders. I don't know if
anything will come of it at this stage but I would welcome
your prayers for wisdom in this area.

I must confess I struggle with the balance between what
sometimes feels like 'self-promotion' versus the
waiting-around-doing-nothing-until-something-happens
response to the call of God. I guess it's a matter of heart
attitude at the end of the day.

2. What does worship in bars, brothels and nightclubs look
like?

Last year I had the opportunity to do two trips within
weeks of each other, one to Lithuania the other to
Thailand.

On both occasions we were scheduled to do music/worship in
bars and night clubs but both situations were different.

I've posted a description with video clips of the 2
different models that worked for this type of event.
