Here's the next stage of the County Derry song for you listening pleasure!

Derry is the county I’ve lived in for most of my life, and the longer I sit with it, the more I realise there’s more than one song living there.

This stage of the process has been about distilling — taking a lot of ideas and trying to shape them into one coherent thread.

The Psalms linked to this county include Psalms 15, 45, 75, 105, and 135. One theme that kept surfacing was language — words, speech, and how what we say has the power to heal or harm, bless or burn.

In this video, I talk a little about that process and share a first fleshed-out version of the song.
