It’s a gift to have people lean in and help shape the direction of these songs.

There was something about the banjo-led arrangement — the space, the restraint — that seemed to let the lyric land more clearly. And since this song is all about language — how words can heal or hurt, bless or curse — that felt fitting.

Although I must confess I liked how the rock version turned out!

Thanks again for helping steer this one. I love that this project gets to unfold in conversation rather than isolation.
