Subject: Andreas' News Feb 2022

Hi.

It's been ages since I sent out my last newsletter. I hope you guys all got well through the pandemic.....Covid certainly took its toll on many of us. The uncertainty was the worst part I think. I found it really hard to plan ahead when things kept being changed by powers that where beyond my control. Finally, it now seems like we are in a more stable position, and I feel I can continue with releasing and gigging my music.

LIVE:

Finances are limited at the moment so I am going out solo this spring. I would love to bring a band or a musical pal with me at gigs, but that will have to come later.

GIGS:

Here's my gig list so far for spring 2022 (you can check out the details and sign up for updates on https://www.andreassjensen.com/. I will be adding more gigs and if you have a suggestion or (even better) a contact to a venue, festival, fair or other event where you think my music could work, then please get in contact! I am also happy to do house koncerts.

RELEASES:

My latest release Ordinary People was a duet with Danish "Queen Of The Banjo" Sine Bach

Rüttel. It was released in August 2021. I think the songs was a bit overlooked and I will be releasing a video for it soon. I did all the filming and editing myself so it has taken some time to get it finished.... I knew more or less nothing about filming before I started and I really hope you guys like it and will share it on Facebook, Insta etc.

Other projects: Sorte Måne

I met Søren Manscher and Noah Rosanes on a songwriting camp in Denmark in 2021. We wrote and produced our first single Sorte Måne (Black Moon) in a day. Then we got a happening Danish VR artist called Wind Swift Studio to do an amazing video for the song.

Sommer På Den Anden Side

We decided to keep Sorte Måne as our band name as well as a song and as we really liked working together together we decided to meet up again in Copenhagen and set ourselves the goal to write and record 5 songs in 5 days. Sidste sommer på den anden side (Last summer On The Other Side) was our second single.

Piedestal

Our most recent release is called Piedestal (released Feb 2022), and this song has another amazing VR Art-Video by Wind Swift Studio. Check it out!

Johnny Stage

And I did backing vocals on my old guitar player and producer friend Johnny Stage's album "No Strings Attached", on the song Bogey Boogie which also features UK guitar legend Chris Spedding

Building work

I have also spent a lot of time working on my house. It was bought as a bit of a do-upper tbh.

Obviously I am also still playing in a lot of covers bands and tribute acts just to make ends meet......

See you out there people. Lots of love, Andreas
