During Navaratri the Divine
Mother is worshipped in Her three main forms as Sri Saraswati Devi, Sri
Lakshmi Devi, and Sri Durga Devi. Any meritorious act performed during
Navaratri brings an abundance of blessings, including material gains,
devotion, spiritual knowledge, protection, healing and shakti (or
divine energy).
The day following the nine nights of Navaratri is known as Vijayadasami,
which means the “Tenth Day of Victory,” or “Day of Victory.” This most
auspicious day celebrates the occasion of Divine Mother’s victory over
ignorance and is also the day our beloved Amma chose to incarnate in a
physical form.
Amma has explained
that during Navaratri, the Divine Mother showers Her endless love and
grace on her children unconditionally. Navaratri is the most auspicious
time of the entire year for worshipping Divine Mother.
