A New Year of Healing for Us

Dear Clients and Friends,

I am looking forward to this new year with you. Many of you have shared your goals and your trials with me. I hold within me all you have told me in a sacred place of prayer. My faith in God overrides all the world's anxieties and terrors. If I held them within me I would be immobile.

Our family has also experienced sadness with the loss of Donald Kavulich, my husband Joe's oldest brother. Donald was a rock for our family and a man of intelligence and steadfast determination in the face of Parkinson's disease. His daughters describe him as the sweetest man you have ever met. He was kind, caring, and would do what was needed for anyone. His life was joyful and full.

At Christmas, my beloved cousin, Jay Lewis, died suddenly, leaving a wound in the hearts of all those who knew him. Jay blessed others with his gregarious humor and he was independently free-spirited and brilliant. He was a world traveler, and the worry of the whole family... if you know the type. He loved with no limits. Jay, there is no one like you. ❤️

And my pet lovers will understand about us saying goodbye to our 14 year old Golden Retriever, Max. The one who was there for us come rain or shine, good moods, bad moods, you name it. He was our earth angel, and we will love him forever.

I truly join with you and all your challenges and losses of the past. Healing from these things sometimes feels impossible. But it happens when you see how others care for you, and that you are never alone.

Today I listened to a song called "This Too Shall Pass" by Dallas Holm. I sent it to members of my family hoping the words would comfort them. Perhaps you may want to listen to that song. Everyone heals in different ways, in solitude or with others.

Thank you for your 40 years of confidence. Although you have chosen me as your doctor, I consider you as a treasured patient and friend. I am always honored to serve you.

I wish you an exceedingly healthy and joyous 2024. Stay playful, get rest, serve your body well since it's the only one you have now. Most of all, hold your loved ones close wherever they may be. ❤️

Warmest regards,

Dr. Lynne Kavulich
