Hello,

Have you ever wondered what it is like to attend or perform a Friendly Water for the World training? Or who you might meet along the way? Maybe you’re interested in what this work means to the communities where we work? Or you’re just curious about how to travel to the remote places where we work? This Friday, June 12th at noon (Pacific Standard Time), join a Chat about these and other stories from the field as a diverse group of travelers and trainers share their impressions and experiences.

A big thanks to Tom Culhane and Wayne Medrud for sharing their expertise during our last Chat about sustainable brick making. We discovered how clay-fired bricks are escalating climate change and desertification, processes that are contributing to the Sahara Desert expanding southward 20 kilometers a year. Then we Chatted about the Interlocking Soil Stabilized Brick press solution we are deploying to create bricks that don't need to be fired, can be created on-site with a small team, are low cost, and are significantly better for the environment.
