Subject: Grieving With Grace: How to Move Forward with Self-Compassion

This episode might just shift how you see grief forever.

Grief doesn't always look like mourning a loved one. It can be losing a job, facing a diagnosis, or sending your last child off to college. It’s in the identity shifts, the unspoken losses, and the moments that leave us changed.

On tomorrow’s episode of Love My Body, Love Myself, for Unleash Your Audacious Confidence, I sit down with grief recovery coach and author Michele Mariscal to explore how we can care for ourselves—mind, body, and soul—while navigating life’s hardest changes.

You'll learn:

  • How to recognize grief in unexpected places

  • Why we turn to food, shopping, or overworking to cope

  • What real self-compassion looks like

  • And how to move forward without guilt

On Wednesday, June 11th, I was honored to be recognized among South Florida’s best and brightest Black business leaders at the 21st Annual Legacy MIA Awards & Reception.

This year, I was thrilled to accept the award not only for my work consulting with leaders to build stronger leadership and more cohesive teams, but also for my tireless advocacy as Marketing Chair for the Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA) of South Florida.

Black-owned media outlets receive less than 1% of total media ad spend from corporations and organizations. At BOMA, we are on a mission to change that—by raising awareness of the power of the Black consumer dollar and increasing ad investments that reflect the true diversity of our communities.

Because representation matters—and equitable visibility drives real impact.
