Subject: ALERT Alumni | September Update

Greetings to our Alumni:

Here is a brief update on what’s happening at ALERT this month.

Basic Training is in their third week with 43 guys still on board. Continue to pray for them and the Cadre.

Our Mobile Response Team just completed a tour of duty in the Houston area with flood cleanup. This is the third trip to that location and we’re hoping to respond several more times in the future before the work is completed. MRT's next plan is to head out to Waynesburg PA area for a father/ son camp and some additional recruiting opportunities with Civil Air Patrol units located in West Virginia. Pray it would be a fruitful trip.

Our accelerated Flight Program is going very well with most of our guys already having performed their solo flight and now working towards a private pilot license. Continue to pray for good weather as they continue their studies and flying.

The dive unit was able to perform some real life training as they assisted in raising a small hobby plane from the bottom of Lake Palestine under the direction of Capt. Harman and Capt. Gast. It was a great experience, and the individual who requested their help was most appreciative of the professional manner they displayed on the job.

The October 20-22 ALERT retreat in Green Lake Wisconsin is rapidly approaching and we still have a few open slots. It will be a great time of fellowship, study, some outdoor activity and relaxation. As I mentioned earlier we will be going through the “Conquer Series” videos – a powerful series on beginning the steps to freedom from pornography or other additive sexual habits. It’s an arena we desperately need to see single guys, husbands and dad come to victory in and I’m praying if you’re out there and need this material – or know someone who does – that you’ll make the sacrifice to come. You can’t beat the cost (small donation for food) so what’s keeping you from joining us? It doesn’t have to be just ALERT guys so if you know someone that needs to hear these messages and be encouraged in a group setting, please sign up. I’ll be driving up from Texas, departing Thursday, October 19th and will have a couple of extra seats in the vehicle if you live in this area and are looking for a ride.

Finally here is another job opportunity for those looking to do “the next thing” from Adam Wolsfeld in the Dallas area at Milestone Construction Inc. “We have an immediate need for an Office admin / Assistant project manager. Experience in commercial construction is helpful but not necessary. Hopefully applicants already live in the DFW area. Anyone interested can contact me directly at adam@milestonedfw.com”

God bless you guys and keep in touch.
