About AJ & Shola Block
Shola & AJ Block

Walking together in sacred union, AJ & Shola are dedicated to developing pathways of peace and understanding by nurturing community building through education, service and the healing arts. For the past 15 years they have been studying with their teacher Maestro Manuel Rufino in an effort to weave together a global support network & international community that embraces the transcendental path of wisdom, love, truth and knowledge of the eternal soul. They are the co-founders of the Sacred Arts Research Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational programs that support the preservation of arts traditions from around the world. They are active members of the Golden Drum, a cultural community center for consciousness and spiritual discipline located in Brooklyn, New York, and are members of the Dream Seed shamanic sound healing collective. They co-produce an international festival, called The Heart & Mind Festival, which brings together wisdom keepers, spiritual elders, scientists, youth leaders and visionary humans from all paths of life. With the blessing of their teacher Maestro Manuel and the elders of the Mayan tradition, Tata Pedro and Nana Marina Cruz, AJ & Shola have the blessing and permission to share cacao with the intention of unifying communities with prayer.

About the Sacred Cacao
Shola and AJ will be serving high-grade ceremonial Ixmucane Cacao directly from Nana Marina and the Maya Tzutujil of Lago Atitlan.

More than just hot chocolate, real Cacao is a sacred brew that has been revered by the First Nations of Mesoamerica for countless generations since the dawn of time. You can review Shola and AJ's recommendations for how to best prepare for the ceremony here:

Please do not drink coffee or any other stimulants at least 3 hours before the ceremony. Please also refrain from using drugs or alcohol. We recommend that you do not eat for at least three hours prior to the ceremony. Dress in comfortable loose clothing. Please drink plenty of water both before and after the ceremony to stay hydrated.

For the Mayan people, cacao is utilized as a rebirthing medicine, helping people get rid of negativity, release emotional suffering, and experience universal love. This cacao ceremony will be facilitated by Dream Seed’s Shola & AJ Block.

DidgeProject.com
Didge Project is a blog, youtube channel, series of courses and events, instrument store and a collective of musicians who want to help you use music as a tool for uplifting yourself and others around you.

On our site you will find tips and tutorials to help you become a better musician, didgeridoo lessons, instrument features and reviews, and reports on the latest scientific research and spiritual discoveries merging through the medium of sound.

When we began in 2008 our main focus was on teaching how to play the didgeridoo, a wind instrument originating in aboriginal Australia and also said to be present in ancient Mayan times. After working with countless people it became apparent that most musicians play multiple instruments and that we have the community resources to help all musicians get better results. While we still provide didgeridoo lessons, classes and programs, our focus is to provide tutorials for music and instruments from all around the world. Visit us for great music resources at didgeproject.com.
